All certification renewal candidates are required to complete a MANDATORY 75 continuing education hours (CH). A minimum of 51 percent (38.25 hours) of the 75 CH must be directly related to the full scope of your certification role and specialty. At least 50 percent (37.5 hours) of your 75 CH must be formally approved continuing education hours such as Continuing medical education (CME) approved for CME credit. A certificate of participation for the Internet Point-of-Care activity is issued to registered nurses which states that the activity was designated for 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
