Nursing Certification

-Hold a current, active RN license, in a state or territory of the United States or the professional, legally recognized equivalent in another country.
-Have practiced the equivalent of 2 years full-time as a registered nurse.
-Have a minimum of 2,000 hours of clinical practice in pain management nursing within the last 3 years.
-Completed 30 hours of continuing education in pain management nursing within the last 3 years.

Current, unrestricted US, US territories, or Canadian RN licensure; AND Completion of at least one of the following at the time of application:
-Two years of practice as a registered professional nurse in rehabilitation nursing within the last five years; or
-One year of practice as a registered professional nurse in rehabilitation nursing and one year of advanced study (beyond baccalaureate) in nursing within the last 5 years.

-Have two full years of experience practicing as an RN.
-Have a minimum of 1,000 hours of work experience as an RN in orthopaedic nursing practice within the past three years. The ONCB® accepts, but does not limit the practitioner to orthopaedic experience in the areas of administration, adult care, clinic, critical care, education, emergency room, home health care, long-term care, medical-surgical nursing, office practice, oncology, operating room, community nursing, and pediatrics.
-Hold a current, full and unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States, or its possessions

-To qualify for the exam, you must hold a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in either the United States, a US Territory or Canada. A nursing certificate that is equivalent to a Registered Nurse in the United States is also acceptable.
-Recommended, but not required, at least 2 years of nursing practice in your area of interest

-Hold a current, active RN license within a state or territory of the United States or the professional, legally recognized equivalent in another country
-Have practiced the equivalent of 2 years full-time as a registered nurse.
-Have a minimum of 2,000 hours of clinical practice in the specialty area of medical-surgical nursing within the last 3 years.
-Have completed 30 hours of continuing education in medical-surgical nursing within the last 3 years.
